Many drivers will have such questions. It is clear that after only a few years of buying the car, why is the fuel consumption increasing, or even abnormal? What does this have to do with it? In fact, a damaged oxygen sensor will indeed lead to an increase in fuel consumption. The oxygen sensor is divided into front oxygen and rear oxygen. The front oxygen monitors combustion and the rear oxygen monitors whether the three-way catalytic converter works normally.

The front oxygen is also called the air fuel ratio sensor. The air-fuel ratio refers to the air-fuel ratio, and the theoretical air-fuel ratio is 14.7:1. This means that it takes 14.7 grams of air to completely burn 1 gram of gasoline. The sensor reacts with the oxygen content of zirconium dioxide (and some titanium dioxide) to feedback signals, thus generating different voltages.
